SSC CHSL 2020 Recruitment Notification Out : Apply Online for Lower Division Clerk and other posts @ssc.nic.in till 15 December


Good News for the govt jobs aspirants! Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC CHSL 2020 Notification on its official website on 06 November 2020. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for SSC CHSL through online mode on or before 15 December 2020 on the official website of Commission - i.e. ssc.nic.in. However, Last date for making online fee payment is 17 December 2020.

The exam will be conducted for recruitment to the post of Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA) and Data Entry Operators (DEO) for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India and their Attached & Subordinate Offices.


SSC CHSL Tier 1 Computer Based Exam is scheduled to be held from 12 April 2021 to 27 April 2021. The candidates who will qualify in SSC CHSL Tier 1 will be called for SSC CHSL Tier 2 2021 which is a Descrptive Type Paper. Those who would qualify in Tier 2 shall be called for SSC CHSL Tier 3 - Typing Test/ Skill Test


Candidates applying for SSC CHSL Recruitment 2020 must have passed 12th standard from a recognized board or university. They must be between 18 and 27 years of age.

  • Dates for submission of online applications: 06-11-2020 to 15-12-2020

  • Last date and time for receipt of online application: 15-12-2020 (23:30)

  • Last date and time for making online fee payment: 17-12-2020 (23:30)

  • Last date and time for generation of offline Challan: 19-12-2020 (23:30)
  • Last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank): 21-12-2020

SSC CHSL 2020 Salary Details (Pay Scale) :

  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Pay Level-2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200).

  • Postal Assistant (PA)/Sorting Assistant (SA): Pay Level-4(Rs. 25,500-81,100).

  • Data Entry Operator (DEO): Pay Level-4(Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Level-5(Rs.29,200-92,300).

  • Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’: Pay Level-4(Rs. 25,500-81,100).


SSC CHSL 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: 

  • For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): 12th passed or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

  • For Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th passed in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent. 


Citizenship: 

  • A candidate must be either:

  • a citizen of India, or

  • a subject of Nepal, or

  • a subject of Bhutan, or

  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.


SSC CHSL Age Limit:

  • 18 to 27 years (Relaxation as per govt. Rules)


SSC CHSL Selection Process:

SSC CHSL Selection will be done on the basis of:

  • Tier I Exam - Computer Based Examination

  • Tier II - Descriptive Paper

  • Tier III - Typing Test/ Skill Test.

How to fill SSC CHSL Application Form 2020?

SSC CHSL 2020 Application Form is available from 06 November, 2020. Interested candidates can register for Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination on the official website of SSC in online mode.


Pre-Requiseite for SSC CHSL Registration 2020.

Applicants must keep the following documents/ details handy as it will be required during SSC CHSL 2020 Registration:

  • Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)

  • Email ID (to be verified through OTP)

  • Aadhaar Number/ Voter ID Card/ PAN/ Passport/ Driving License or School/ College/ Employer ID (You will be required to show the original document at a later stage)

  • Class 10 Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing.

  • Scanned colour passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB) with dimensions 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).

  • Scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB) with dimensions 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height).

  • Disability Certificate Number, if you are a person with a benchmark disability.
