IITGandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for the following project positions for a research project on Integrated Urban Water Management funded jointly by DST-NOW (under Indo-Netherlands science support). Eligibility criteria And Remuneration for IIT Gandhinagar (IITGN) Recruitment 2020

 1. Research Associate (1 post)

Essential Qualification: 
  • PhD in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or related areas

Preferred Skills:
  • Water distribution network, water management, river engineering, field work, data acquisition, project coordination, Technical report writing.

Duration:
  • Initial appointment is for one year, extendable up to 4 years based on performance.

Remuneration: 
  • Rs 47,000/month + 16% HRA.

2. JRF/Doctoral Scholar (3 posts) 

Essential Qualification:
  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or
  • related areas with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate. Candidates with BTech degree should have a valid GATE score.

Preferred Skills:
  • (post 1) Water distribution network(WDN), hydrology, resilience, field work, data aquisition
  • (post 2) Drainage network, hydrology, resilience, climate change, field work, data acquisition
  • (post 3) Automation of WDN, IOT for WDN, signal processing

Duration:
  • Initial appointment is for one year, extendable up to 4 years based on performance.

Remuneration: 
  • Rs 31,000/month for first 2 years, then Rs 35, 000/month.
3. Project Assistant (1 post) 

Essential Qualification: 
  • B.Tech. in any branch of engineering with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate.

Preferred Skills: 
  • Field work, data acquisition, Survey Duration: Initial appointment is for one year, extendable up to 4 years based on performance.

Remuneration:
  • Rs 22,000/month.
